Holy soul. Anyone else played this? Any protip?
After the second mission an NPC said he was giving me a Sledge but I'm unable to switch weapon, am I misunderstanding or is weapon switching an isoteric science I haven't figured out yet?
>>
never played it, but it looks cools
>>
I love the Range Murata box art/character designs, I didn't know the game had a sick HUD design too

Esoteric
Look up words you don't know instead of just attempting to repeat them

ps1?

Just spam max power attacks and wait out the cooldowns, that's literally all I did for the whole playthrough and the game never punished me for it because it's horribly balanced. And once you get Meisters it only gets worse.

It's honestly a pretty mediocre game, it makes a strong first impression but then just fizzles out. They must have spent all their budget hiring Range Murata and Ian McDonald because the game feels very unfinished.

Yeah I'm starting to get the impression that it's not very well balanced, but I'm enjoying the story and presentation. Right now I have 2 characters (Zappa and the fat circus guy) that are so bulky that they're basically invicible, literally the only thing I need to worry about are the girls with low def/HP and not to be too retarded with Lucien. That and not to engage enemies that are on a higher step

I finished it like 5 years ago and I agree with >>12444787 , it really isn't interesting or fun to play. It's an even more dumbed down T-RPG than Sakura Taisen was. I don't remember much of the story but I recall it was just ok. The artstyle and music are all great though, I love this particular track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpwqKC0y2Xw

I don't want to spoil too much since you're clearly early on (probably shouldn't have made a thread about a game you're halfway through in the first place desu) but let's just say that there's a reason this game only got a 7/10 on the JP Saturn mag, of all things, at a time when the Saturn was on the way out and Saturn players were starving for new noteworthy games, the same mag that spent several months hyping this game up. It was supposed the be the Saturn's big swan song but ended up being a whole lot of unrealized potential that doesn't offer much beyond a strong aesthetic impression, some would say that's fitting for the Saturn.

Why are they walking in place?
>>
>>12444845
Same reason NPCs in Dragon Quest do
>>
I heard it was the code veronica of the shining force series.

>>12444862
Come on, Wachenroder isn't THAT bad.
>>
>>12444860
What's the reason they do it in DQ?
>>
>>12444869
To keep their blood pressure up
>>
>>12444845
I was thinking about it few nights ago. The game is turn based. Time has stopped during your/opponents turn, but the characters are in motion to show that they're active on the battlefield.

Any point in using those limiter items?
