the japanese version is alot shittier but also has way more difficult and interesting courses. in the US version i can typically get -15 to -20 without too much issue but the jap version i havent beaten the uk course yet.

The game seems like they originally meant it to be a US exclusive but at the last second decided to also make a Japanese release. The Japanese version has more courses because it was developed after the US and and I guess they had some unused ROM space so they added two more courses. Recommended to play that one over the US version.

the Namco golf titles are more technically impressive but we didn't get those in the US, so...

i completed two separate expidition seeds on the sotn randomizer. both of them were god-awful and i ended up only being able to skip 2 checks(out of 109) in either fucking seed, both took more than two hours.
