Post underappreciated games.
OP here, pic unrelated BTW
>TROON BONNE
>>12465472It's a good game.
Couldnt bother to get the PS1 cover.
>>12465472
anything that didn't release on nintendo 64
>>12465472Tron's game is overappreciated. It was rightfully recognised as bland rental-fodder when it was new, and only got 'reappraised' by zoomers who watched a YouTube video on "retro wave low-poly classics" and latched onto the PS1 MM titles because they liked the aesthetics, despite absolutely refusing to play them. same people who think that watching a commentated playthrough is the same as playing the game themselves.
>>12468612>zoomers who watched a YouTube video on "retro wave low-poly classics"it was already getting sucked off by millennials
>>12465472Mother 1?
>>12468613no it wasn't. nobody gave a shit about it or MML until like 2020. don't believe me? check the archives.
>>12465472Pic unrelated. It's a bunch of boring-ass minigames. This series was always just style over substance mediocrity which sonyggers dickride for no fucking reason.
>>12468628>until like 2020retard>check the archivesthis isn't the only place in existence
>>12468612>>12468671This is bullshit. Why does a fucking board meant to share and celebrate old games attract so many assholes?I had both Legends games and MoTB as a kid. While it didn't appeal to those who wanted classic Mega Man fare, the Legends games had a lot of fans, including me. I've never seen anyone show so much hatred for a charming little spinoff series.I also have no idea what the fuck youtubers or the retards who follow them say about the games, and nobody should give a fuck what they think, either.
>>12468707They're literal zoomer trash. They are physically incapable of experiencing happiness or joy or entertainment or any kind of emotional connection to a gaming experience. I mean that literally, it's not just a random shitpost. The smartphone generation has had their brains physically atrophied, they genuinely lack the capacity to understand why people "like" things. They can't fathom it, it all seems "false" to them, like it's some kind of trick, and they resent being fooled and want revenge.
>>12469856Okay grandpa, I bet rock music makes you worship the devil too, huh?
>>12468682yes it is. despite what anons like to claim, tastes here are pretty reflective of video game tastes in meat space. >>12468707>but I had it!low IQ moment>>12469856>t. born in 2001
>>12469917Yeah, I owned and played through them. You regurgitated a bunch of shit about aesthetics and YouTube. That shit is irrelevant to me and anyone else who plays games. Keep your vibe bullshit and console war faggotry to yourself.
>>12469856Take a shower.
>>12468707>Why does a fucking board meant to share and celebrate old games attract so many assholes? It’s supposed to be a retro board but allows discussion for modern games like 3D Grand Theft Auto.
>>12468707retard
>>12469910no crap music did that actually.
>>12468620Not really. I have seen Mother 1 get a lot more attention recently and appreciated way more than it was ten years ago. If anything Mother 3 is the underappreciated one.
>>12471261Really now? I thought Mother 2 and 3 were still the big ones (Mother 2 especially), though part of me wonders if the main thing with 3 was just the folks wanting official localization being louder than everybody else
>>12465472Castlevania 64
This shit right here.
>>12472303>posts the widely regarded best entry in the franchise>"underappreciated"The only Oddworld game I'd put as underappreciated is the not retro Stranger's Wrath.
>>12472335I guess I thought the OP meant like games that are not talked about enough or games that are rarely mentioned despite being very good games.
Chopper Attack/Wild Choppers. Like a more arcade-y take on EA's Strike series. I rented it a lot as a kid, and still play through it a couple times a year, usually with a different chopper each time. The Wasp/Britbong one is probably my favorite overall, though.
