You just finished Ace Attorney 20 years ago, what did you think of it?
gonna roleplay as the characters from now on
>>12465903>DS versionNot retro.
the "games" are shit but the music is absolute 10/10 kino
>>12465903I don't remember anything about these games other than Maya, who the culprits are, and the implied yaoi. The witnesses were also pretty annoying for the most part.
I'm not sure I would stand visual novels 20 years ago
>>12466253>I'm not sure I would stand visual novels 20 years ago
>>12465993There's no implied yaoi.
The last case is hyper kino.
>>12466274retarf
The guy with the visor is cool.
>>1246590320 years ago it wasn't Ace Attorney. Not retro.
>>12465903the crimes become increasingly unsolvable and more bullshit. i would have liked it a lot more if it hadn't revolved around moon logic.
>>12467000filtered by a game teens can beat?
>>12467000>>12467196I bet most people played these games with a walkthrough open. They want to be braindead and see how the case plays out, not think and occasionally get fucked by the game's bullshit.
>>12465903>AAKIno, good introduction to main cast of characters throughout the series and some decent cases to whet your whistle. The last case is excellent.>JFAPeak of the trilogy, but also has the lowest low in the Circus Case. Fantastic final case that stands out as the best in the series, as well as introducing the best girl in Fransizka von Karma. >TaTGood ending to the trilogy, albeit a bit zany and leans too heavily into the mystic side of the series. The last case, whilst good and ties in all the games from the series, leaves a lot to be desired and isn't as satisfying an ending as what could have been delivered. The Dahlia plot is nonsense and requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. The 'mafia/yakuza' case is also pretty bad. Overall, amazing set of games that are worth playing, even if the ending is a tad skewed.
>>DS version>Not retro.>20 years ago it wasn't Ace Attorney. Not retro.
>>12467380the trilogy version actually has a full auto option, it robs you of all the decision making but it's surprisingly comfy to watch when you come back to the game years after you've beaten it.
Just gonna leave this ladder here...
>>12467443that's a stepladder you FUCKING RETARD
>>12467000>>12467380FFS, this series is one of the easiest available. You can just save whenever you want and try all options until you lose, rinse and repeat. But even then it's a rare occasion. All of the games are easy as fuck, there's no need for walkthroughs. Ghost Trick was more challenging
>>12465903I stopped playing when two cases in a row ended with some magic ghost asspull instead of actually solving anything yourself.
>>12465903>mfw I actually did finish PW1 for the first time 20 years ago
>>12465936People post about playing hd re-releases and ports to non-retro consoles (like psp) all the time, the DS version is basically a straight port of the GBA version, I'd say it counts
>>12465936
>>12467000I've played through the entire franchise and there were only 3 testimonies total that I could not figure out on my own (all of them are from not retro entries). You have to be a special kind of retarded to not have the problem solving skills needed for this series, especially the original trilogy which were all (mostly) so tightly written even a 10 year old could complete it blind.
