I work at Nissan and our samurai is a nip. Dude is autistic and cool as hell. We drink on Sundays behind the auto repair shop: Madden and beer until the afternoon. He was just there, in silence, watching, drinking, and smoking.
Our samurai (the HR guy) was autistic too. He suggested we play something the nip could actually enjoy. So he brought in a Sega Saturn with two multitaps, Guardian Heroes, Bomberman, and like 10 controllers. I bet he bought all that shit hoping this moment would come. The technicians were confused, but the kaizen guy was there smiling at the samurai. They did an awkward bro fist, plugged it into a CRT the samurai hauled in his Titan, and we were off.
I'd never played that stuff before, but it was kino as fuck. At one point even the general manager and the post-sales manager were drinking and playing with us.
We barely play Guardian Heroes because it was only up to 6 players, but Bomberman went up to 10. Man, have you ever played multiplayer games with more than 6 guys? That shit was way better than N64 or Dreamcast, but I doubt it was popular back then. The kaizen guy told us they had a PC Engine with a multitap at a Mitsubishi dealership in Yokohama. Here we always just played Madden. Even in the PS3 days when you could plug in up to 7 DualShocks, we never tried it, we always stuck to 1v1.

If it’s Tenn then I may just show up one day to play. I’ll bring some beers tho for just barging in.

Well I work at the Mississippi plant and all the Jap executives working here are pricks. But out plant also sucks the most of all Nissan America plants thanks to the workforce demographics being 60% lazy ass, thieving joggers. They basically hire anyone who can pass a drug test and background check.

Samurai is the name Americans’s got because you are all such predictable clowns and dumb gorillas.
