It's a good game, although it is difficult.
Simple happy games are underrated. Graphics are decent. Control is decent. Sound is on par with any NES game.

At least it's not that other Tom Sawyer game.

Apparently the level order was changed for the US release and the pirate ship isn't the opening stage on the Famicom version.

i don't remember a pirate ship and tropical palms in the clouds in the book

Wonder if any kids tried to write a book report on this and got a failing grade?

Also the pirates shoot guns and throw knives at you in the Famicom version but this was removed for the US one because Nintendo had some fag rules that human characters are not allowed to be shot at.
