just beat this, wanted to say a few words about it.it is very much a zelda game: [land] is in peril and you need to save it from [bad guy] by going through a bunch of dungeons and getting all the macguffins. there's parallels with link's awakening e.g. feather to jump, bracelet to pick up shit which makes it feel familiar but not too much so. the gimmick here is that the seasons are out of whack which basically boils down to different palette swaps of a given area and certain things being accessible that allows you to access all of a given area. as the game goes on you get access to being able to set an area to each season. this is of course done expertly, no reason not to expect nintendo would drop the ball here. gives you the perfect reason to backtrack to previous areas and change it to a new season so you can unlock e.g. a heart piece.the dungeons are good and fair, it's kinda hard to get lost and not know what to do. i actually think they're really solid for e.g. an 8 year old kid. an appropriate level of problem solving. the bosses are really inventive albeit pretty easy. final boss was good and honestly the only actual challenge in the game (to be expected)things i'm more ambivalent on: the seed system. the concept fits the game's theme but the fact that there's so many different places to plant them and you have to remember to go back there after an arbitrary amount of time doesn't make it enjoyable. i wish there was some way on the map to mark where you've planted seeds. at least it's completely optional and you can just ignore it if you want.the ring system also seems half-baked like it was added on late in development. you can also wholly ignore them and complete the game just fine.fun game overall. not sure if i'm going to rush to play ages next though.
>>12468190fuck, forgot: the subrosia area. i get why it's there: to unlock the ability to set each season but it just seems so out of place and there's no explanation of what the land even is. you just kinda go to it, do a thing in the area you have access to, and then come back multiple times.
>>12468190I always forget which one was the puzzle focused one, but fuck that one for being tedious as shit. The other one was pretty good tho.
>>12468190You DID get the secret 0 deaths ending, right?
>>12468190>hot, slutty dancer is from Whorin' VillageWhat did Capcom mean by this?
>>12468193>you just kinda go to it, do a thing in the area you have access to, and then come back multiple times. If you don't like this feeling, you're going to hate Ages.
>>12468220Mate's a cute word. "Mate." Sounds like hugs and kisses incarnate.
>>12468190>debacle of semen
Seasons is overrated by fucking retards. Perfect Zelda game for DSP IQ having nigs.
Mm. Accurate review. Some thoughts. The seeds aren't bad if you aren't into a minmaxing mindset. You go and bump into a tree while scrolling around or backtracking. The rings...yeah. It's there for the..replay value. You could play again to find the ring that morphs you into a Moblin, stuff like that. It's basically post-game if you think about it. Like catchin' them all in Pokemon or going to those towers. (The rings are moved over to Ages, which can then be moved again to Seasons. If you don't, there's a few Age+Seasons sidequests.)
>>12468190Isn't there a secret level where if you beat Ages and Seasons, then you use a game link or enter some code, and you have to rescue the green bitch from Ganon?
>>12468190You just wanted to show your fugly filter.
>>12468190The gacha seed system is retarded and the ring system is almost as bad.
>>12468623Kind of, you play one of the games first, get a data transfer password, then enter this when you start a file in the second game to play an alternative version of that game that concludes with fighting Ganon. The two games will be connected and you have various sidequests that will take you back and forth between them to unlock various additional items.
>>12468190>Zelda game is indeed a Zelda gameWow riveting don't know why we needed a thread and a wall of text explaining that but whatever
>>12469278thanks for the bump :)
>>12468190>no reason not to expect nintendo would drop the ball hereCapcom made this game>not sure if i'm going to rush to play ages next though.you ought to to get the full game experience - carry your save over to ages. I always preferred Seasons, but I'm a bit of a brainlet
