>Techno music starts playing
Erotic opening.
>>12469904>Erotic opening I thought she was naked the first time i saw this intro
>>12469796This is more of an /a/ comment but.. logikomas > fuchikomas > tachikomas
>>12469796And not just any techno
>>12470056Why the fuck do you have that not even google is pulling that image for me.
>>12469796They need to port this to Nintendo Switch 2 right freaking now. The mechanic of going along the walls seems really fun.
>>12470709Takkyu here, stop searching for my pics on Google
I wish I could've gone to a 90's rave
>>12472496If you live in a major enough population center you can still find great shows.
>>12469796Even the sounds of strafing, lock-on, and bullet fire goes to the beat. I can still hear it in my head.
How did they get western artists to sign up for this?
>>12473323By paying them money
>>12473323It was all thanks to Takkyu. He and his band Denki Groove were signed to Sony's Ki/oon sub label, so he was tasked with producing the soundtrack for the GITS game (remember, this game was produced and published by Sony in Japan, it's a first party game, for some reason Sony didn't publish it in america, so THQ did), but as a condition he asked the Sony higher ups if he could include his techno friends (mostly guys from the german scene) and Sony allowed it.Worth mentioning is that most if not all of the tracks in this OST are original music they did for this game, not just licensed from already existing tracks they had.
>>12469796>driving backwards down the freeway level rapid-tap machine-gunning attack choppers and armoured cars >speed running the abandoned shopping mall tunnels while listening to Spook and Spell>strafing right round an enormous boss listening to Firecracker>chilling on the last level, enjoying the views while The Vertical plays>realising that one really difficult boss becomes incredibly easy if you just drive around on the ceiling>every track on the OST being an absolute banger>Production IG cutscenes, in the Shirow style>plot being a unnecessarily convoluted mess, in the Shirow style >every level starting with the voice cast from the movie banteringThis game was an actual experience, one I always feel lucky that I had as a teenager.
>>12473804Also>Track from the opening FMV is the bgm of the second to last levelhttps://youtu.be/Ln_6iPZJ_hY?si=_JQytRpcp4sNRiX4
>>12473323Ghost in the Shell was already pretty big in the 90's
>>12469943I wonder what her pooper smells like.
>>12473942She doesn't have one
>>12469796emulate this and max out cpu overclockingyour welcome
>>12473323>>12473804>>12473809alright alright, I'm playing your anime game now. No need to convince me any further
>>12473942Ozone and old motor oil.
>>12470735I think that's the reason the game's not talked about more - few people have actually played it, and I think that's because it'd probably be an absolute nightmare to licence again for porting. The OST in particular would be a severe headache, but it wouldn't be the same game without it.
>>12469943It took me years to realise that she's sitting on an embarassed Fuchikoma here, and not some puffy black leather couch. If memory serves, one of the cutscenes continues the fine tradition of the Major dressing like the Major during a meeting. Always imagine those meetings would be an enjoyable nightmare for everyone else involved.
>>12469962Why the fuck can't they ever just do one aka the manga one
>>12474330I wish this worked in all games without breaking them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5MeULS8V2EThis is how I found out about this game back in the day. Coming home from school and seeing this clip on TV I was fascinatedToo bad the game's so short though
So WHO do you actually play as?Rookie? Togusa? Is Togusa the rookie?
>>12477787naruto
>>12477787The Rookie is you. It's 1999, and ten year old you have become the latest officer and got to pilot the smallest Tachikoma available. That is the power of video games and imagination.
