I replayed Eva64 a few weeks ago (only beat easy mode, I plan to beat the other difficulties and get the real ending soon) and I have one question, when you have to do those mash A and Cdown prompts, do you just mash fast as shit or do you have to do it in a certain rhythm?Also how do you trigger the cinematics where the eva starts running? and what do you have to do to activate the special attack?

Mostly don't fuck up the alternate presses.For the cinematics, once the angel is far away, usually after you kick it, you have to press R+direction on the stick iirc, and for the special attack you have to press a combination of direction+button while the Eva is running (there's a sound cue the moment you have to input the combination)Your sync ratio also changes the kind of special attacks you can perform. To raise sync ratio keep doing normal attacks to the enemy and don't get hit.
