Imagine the possibilities
https://www-atariware-cl.translate.goog/wiki/Proyectos/Joy2B?_x_tr_sl=es&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=es-419Joy 2B+ Atari controllers already exists and theres over 80 games with support for it
>>1247020780 out of how many
>>12470197Imagine the possibilities
>>12470197>now here's how atari could have won...
Would have been possible to make a six button single player controller that used both controller ports.
>>12470197Just use a master system controller
Imagine there's no atari
>>12470197Oh yes... I can see it! Two different buttons doing the same thing!
>>12470679Actually you can have up to 3 buttons on any atari controller. The paddle controller inputs can be converted to be used as separate buttons. Sadly is pointless if the game isnt programmed to recognize this. Thats why theres only 80 games available for Joy2b+
>>12470683i think those don't work because of some electrical incompatibility

>>12470278about 500, not including homebrew games
>>12473343>i thinkworst.troll.ever
>>12473343>>12473793if you cut the 5V line in sega controllers (SMS or Sega Genesis) it becomes compatible with atari systems
2600: One button!5200: 17 buttons!7800: Two buttons!Jaguar: 16 buttons!Atari never could get the hang of designing a controller could they? You can defend the 2600 was it was the first Gen 2 console and nobody knew what to do back then, but by 1993 they had no excuse with that Jaguar controller to jut jam a numberpad in it again like some 70s era console where controller design was still a wild west. They even pulled the same bullshit with the 5200 by having duplicate buttons with the Jaguar Pro controller, despite labeling them as if they were different buttons.
>>12470197That's not a gamechanger, this is.
>>12475150No, this is.
