Need proof about Western-developed console games not cutting the muster? 'Nuff said.

bone apple teeth

wonder how many children's birthdays and Christmases were ruined by LJN?

I don't think anyone owned these games they just rented them.
>>
Yes this game is indeed as bad as you heard. Please don't play it.

>bunch of bad minigames ripped off several different arcade games
>none of it has anything to do with the movie
>LJN as usual using the lowest spec cartridge hardware they can get away with
>>
>Beam Software
I guess Capcom was too busy.

these games were a diamond dozen

>first non-skateboarding level is the cafe
>never beat it once as a kid
>finally beat it as an adolescent
>every non-skateboarding stage after that was easy in comparison
found that so strange. also this game only gave you one shot at the last level. if you messed up you were stuck in the past forever. not sure i ever saw another game pull that stunt.

They were above what LJN was willing to pay.

Nah I was sort of poor growing up but my parents tried to hide it. I only ever had a NES and SNES, and I'm pretty sure I got them when they were on clearance to make room for newer tech. Games were the same way. Back to the Future was one of the few games I owned, and it's probably because my mom found it in a bin for a few dollars. I actually believed that was what video games were supposed to be like for a while.

Their shit was always CNROM or UNROM, think they had an MMC1 game or two but they used Acclaim's clone boards instead of a real Nintendo one because it was cheaper.

Beam also fucked up the beta build of Star Wars so LucasArts had to send someone down to Australia to supervise and make sure it was done properly.

They made a lot of NES games most of them pretty bad. Star Wars only came out ok because the reasons you said, and even then LucasArts were still unhappy enough to transfer development of the subsequent games to Sculptured Software.

They were one of the very first Western publishers to put out NES games.

so many bad licensed games, so little time
>>
BTTF1 was absolute shit but Parts II & III, if still typical western shovelware, does have a SOVL component that makes it worth revisiting at least as a time capsule
