Have you ever actually played an electro-mechanical (pre-digital) arcade game? How was it? Did you win?

I played one that was about killing gooks in Nam. It was pretty cool and fun to play but way too easy. It was more about getting a high score than "winning" I guess but not having any frame of reference/lose condition stripped some of the fun from it

It was a shooting gallery with a haunted house theme, wasn't a tetrible experience but I preferred to play pinball.
>>
a campground my family went to had a really old pinball table with analog score display. i dont remember what it was, possibly baseball themed. there was very little on the playfield compared to modern tables. still fun, but they also had T2 pinball.

They used to have one or two at the arcade near me, They were fun for a short time....I recall they didn't feel very interactive compared to the other video games

One that I remember quite fondly was Simpsons' Cupcake Contest. Unfortunately there's next to no info about it online expect for a page on the Simpsons wiki that I did ages ago

My Chuck E. Cheese (now long gone) had a lot of stuff that was mechanical. Whack-a-Mole, clown cannons, labyrinth, those weird sorta pachinko-like games that used pinballs.

I remember emptying the labyrinth machine in particular for tickets, as I was pretty good at it. Or just patient enough to finish it. I have never found a photo of it anywhere, or seen a machine like it since.

Very early thing, only footage of someone playing i could find. Its very simple and its all analog from what i can tell. Very cool, all i cam think of personally was one of those mini slot machines that used to exist in grocery stores in the 90s in my country, my dad let me play a couple and i didn't know what was happening i just liked all the lights going off.
