I always preferred consoles and would often just go for the console ports of everything, but recently with a few arcade titles without proper console ports getting my interest, and how Myrient's going down which made me download a ton of arcade titles in panic, I'm playing through some of them and it's been incredible.I'd say my main issue before, and why I preferred console ports, was the lives/continues, back then we'd play as long as we had quarters, but now? I have inifinte quarters in my emulator, so how do I make it more challenging? Do I have to 1CC all I play? It's part of the reason I never got into this sort of emulation before, but now it's solved... I've simply stopped caring about having the most challenge, I'm getting older and time is shorter every year, more stuff to do, less time to do all things I actually want to do, so not focusing on lives and 1CCs, and simply playing, putting on a quarter whenever I run out, it's comfortable and it's like fullfilling a childhood dream of mine too.I've got all the quarters I need, baby! No need to ask mom for more and hearing that it won't be happening. It's comfortable and I'm enjoying it. Anyways, how do you guys go about emulating arcade titles? Do you go for the 1CC every single time or do you add a limit to your quarters? How do you decide that limit? Or do you go infinite?
We already just had this shitty thread, not sure if it's the same person or a deluge of milennials having a midlife crisis that think they're TOTALLY into retro while bulldozing through old games in 30 minutes with save states and infinite continues. All you're doing is just consuming, not playing.
Future shmups thread
>>12476836the only reason I clicked is because of the picture and the only thing that came to my mind is how her asshole would taste like. thats all I have to say here.
Insert a coin in a piggybank per play/life, recover the money later when it's full
>>12476838>just consumingdumb retardyeah man, replaying the same level 40 times isn't consumption at all lmao copemidlife crisis posting detected
>I really love these games, can't stand playing them for more than 20 minutes though>so glad I found a big pile of slop to shovel into my gullet
Reminds me of that retarded dadgamer that genuinely thought "retro" was a retreat from competitive gaming or something. Like just go mow the lawn, this shit ain't for you little man
>>12476930dumb retardsome of us have jobs and kids.which is why im not replaying the same level 40 times to feel something.

>>12476836You came here seeking /vr/ validation, and got exposed as tourist consumer,Get good and 1CC or get lost,This thread sucks
>>12476836Even as a kid, i felt mental cringe playing a machine on free play where death no longer had consequence.
At least put a towel down before you smear your stinky sweaty con pussy all over a perfectly clean chair
