>box says there are 96 levels in the game>there's actually 73 levelsWhy did they do this? Blatant false advertising.
>>12482718Exit = level
>>12482718The person translating or in charge of writing something for the box probably had no idea what was going on.
Donkey Kong Country counts bonus rooms as whole levels. They were dishonest on purpose.
>30 images par secondeBut this is PAL. Why the false advertising (and only in French)?
>>12482731>8 games in one>they created two mini games where you press A and called them full games>the other games are just the same game with different presentation
And I mean
>>12482718Kid Chameleon indeed has 103 levels
>>12482781That one is at least TECHNICALLY true. Seven zones, each has 10 distinct levels as counted by the stage select code.
>>12482745They didn't call them full games
>>12482839If slightly modified portions of the map count as whole levels then the alternate exits of SMW (which is where the 96 number really comes from) also count. At the end of the day it's marketing shenanigans to use a somewhat true statement to exaggerate it
>>12482739Because these blurbs get translated from English ones written by Americans, and not all translators know enough about TV technology to know they should cut that line.
>>12482745>112 games
>>12482729It literally says including bonus levels ya dingus
>>12482982Obviously, though this one seems to rather be a copy-pasted from the canadian version, I would guess. Which is strange because the english text is different and all other languages on the box are a direct translation of this english text.
>>12483339A room is not a level in any case
>here we see the timid and nearly extinct boomer in another long winded debate about simple definitions>are they Boomerus outdatedus, Delirius schizophreneuos perhaps even the rare Basementus perpetuus?>let's watch
>>12482718There's actually far MORE than 96, as there are alternate routes through many levels, providing you with far more than 73 or even 96 levular play experiences.Dumb zoomer.
>>12483709>those are two different levels by the way
>>12483313This made sense back in the day when everything was marketed like that. People were still used to buying Pong units with "16 games" that were all variants on Pong, they knew damn well that "Space Invaders with 112 games" means 112 versions of Space Invaders. It even says on the side there what different variants are on offer.
>>12483448Lazy publishers going "well the Canadian version already had a French translation, no need to make a new one from scratch" then.
