It's very slow and padded. There is SO much hidden shit in this game if you take the time to walk off the beaten path, almost half the game is stuff you do outside the main plot but you have to seek it out. If you don't like it by the end of disc 1, you won't like it.Yeah, I get we're talking about original games here, but... Many, if not most play modded now. You can cut out the time before each battle, you can have a main speed boost and a battle speed boost on top of that, you can skip FMVs and blast through dialog sections. It's a much better game this way.

I ONLY play jrpgs to 100% them. if I feel like that is not a possibility then I dont even bother. I google "missable items game x" before I attempt it. If I find ANYTHING at all I wont bother.
