ITT discuss games only you played or don't see discussed often that you'd recommend to others.
Please explain what you like about a game and why you'd recommend it. Effortposting is highly encouraged!

I'll start:
Road Rash: Jailbreak (2000) was the final game in it's series before Electronic Arts decided to abandon the IP (barring the lousy GBA version from 2003).
I'd argue that it's the best game in the series, however, nobody bought it. The combat is the best in the series and the game introduces the ability to taunt your opponents with funny quips.
The gameplay is mostly standard Road Rash with races growing in distance the further along you get. It's also an open-world game, allowing you to take shortcuts during some races.
IMO, it's criminally underrated, provides hours of arcade-style fun and is very replayable. Also, the soundtrack kicks ass. Play it!

This is good but I prefer road rash 3D
>>
>>12483141
Fair enough, that game is good too. I fucking love Jailbreak though
>>
>>12483126
Kino game. Owned and played this alot. Soundtrack is burned into my brain. The live action cutscenes were top notch
>>
>>12483169
Starring Spaz Williams (the guy who animated the T-Rex in Jurassic Park) and little Michael Anderson (from Twin Peaks). Absolute kino
>>
>>12483126
shame it runs at like 15 fps
>>
>>12483126
EB gave out this soundtrack for free. I listened to it all the time but never played the game
>>
>>12483213
>can't come up with an underappreciated retro game he likes
>instead lies about the game OP brought up
>>
>>12483218
why so defensive? are you like the world's #1 road rash jailbreak fan?
i love the game but it's true, the moment more than 2-3 bikes get on screen the framerate goes to shit
>>
>>12483220
I've never noticed a problem with the framerate and I've played dozens of hours of Jailbreak both on original hardware and through emulation. It's extremely rare that the game dips below 20 FPS and is mostly running at a constant 30.
>>
>>12483216
That's pretty based. The game is worth checking out, but the soundtrack is definitely one of the best aspects about the whole game.

Recommending Hamtaro: Ham-Ham's Unite! for the Game Boy Color. Just an all around comfy game that pretty much anyone could play and beat. Supremely cozy.

>>12483126
FUCKING PLAY INVASION FROM BEYOND(ps1) HOLY SHIT
>>
>>12483260
I second this, also play antz on gbc, its wayyy better than a lot of shit platformers on gbc, including gex and i love gex.
>>
>>12483271
why?
>>
>>12483216
That soundtrack is probably worth some money
>>
>>12483280
It's not, I purchased a sealed copy about two years ago for something like $15
>>
>>12483278
Its fast paced like nothing from 5th gen. Its has a bit of a learning curve, but afyer you get tje controls its fucking crazy. Ohh also check out grudge warriors

This game was cool
It had the car combat of Twisted Metal, combined with the UI and radio stations of Grand Theft Auto
it's one of those games that ends when it finally feels like it is starting to get going, and needed a sequel it never got
>>
>>12483126
Maybe I'm just a boomer but I don't know how anyone can play any of the Road Rash games past the 3DO one. But really the first three on the Genesis were the best. The transition to 3D killed the sliding mechanics among other things.
>>
>>12483126
Moraff's World is underrated.
more online people seem to have played Dungeon of the Unforgiven sequel though. it's uglier with more useless currency and wacky colour palette switches.
>>
>>12485383
This game looks pretty sick. Is that your own review of it!?
>>
>>12485539
No it's just the only channel I saw which gave it a review that saw the game from my perspective
>>
>>12485469
When playing 3D Road Rash, it's best to forget the Genesis games entirely. They play completely differently and are good in their own way.
>>
>>12485383
>radio DJ tells local savages to get their rain god to fuck off
The radio in that game is absolutely unhinged.
>>
>>12485469
I think the 3d road rash games play much better than the 2d ones

This game is overshadowed between the original and chaos theory but it is pretty good, and is classic Tom Clancy
>>
>>12487441
I grew up playing MGS and have never played a Splinter Cell game. Should I start with the first one? They seem pretty cool.
