>haven't touched my Game Gear in a while>charge up 6 AA's, find my Game Gear and pull it out>doesn't turn on>I already recapped it like 5 years ago>open it up, don't see any problems.Well then fuck me I guess
Pirate chads win again

>>12485138It sounds like you need to play more GG games. I recommend starting with Ristar.
>>12485142Isn't that just an inferior port of the Genesis game
>>12485215No, it's different. The levels have the same themes but they have different layouts and are different in execution. It's like how Sonic Pocket Adventure borrows level themes from the Mega Drive games but is an entirely different game.
>>12485340So it's an inferior port of the Genesis game then.
>>12485138GG Shinobi is awesome
>>12485451Isn't that just an inferior port of the Genesis game
>>12485458Nope, it's a completely new game with multiple playable characters that you unlock as you go. The sequel is awesome too.
>>12485448No, it's a different game.
>>12485119Your batteries are probably just dying and the system isn't getting enough juice.
>>12485119What doesn't turn on, the GameGear, or the "it" that you whipped out upon finding said GG?
>>12485493I plugged the AC adapter in and it still didn't work. My batteries are fine, and fully charged. They're nice Fujitsu batteries, not shitty Chinese batteries.>>12485552The Game Gear
it seems obvious to me it's not getting power. you can probably Google it and find a site with answers for what the exact problem is.
>>12485119as he said it's not getting power but idk why
i remember this guy who had a Genesis 2 he couldn't get to turn on and he found there was a very small and hard to see broken trace on the PCB
>>12485119i feel there are better places to troubleshoot electronics
The Majesco Game Gear was built better and more reliable than Sega's.
>>12486807I don't know anywhere anymore. The internet is dying.
Have you double checked/cleaned the connector between the power PCB and main PCB? Maybe use a multimeter and see if power is making it to the main PCB from the power PCB
>>12485138Super Columns is dope
>>12485138GG port of Garfield: Caught in the Act has a level unique to that version
My personal GG memory:>seeing one for sale in this Goodwill in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country>this huge fat neckbeard who looks like Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons comes in and buys it and is bragging to the Mennonite store clerk about his find>I thought "Alright, man. You have fun replacing the caps in that thing."
