How do you guys store your controllers? I've got a ton of controllers for basically every system worth owning and my current storage solution isn't working (each controller is in a Ziploc bag to keep the cords from getting tangled, and they're in a few different drawers and totes)

1) That looks awful
2) latency

In OPs mother's gaping cunt and asshole.

I coil each controller cable in proper over-under fashion and secure it with a velcro cable tie, then it goes in the controller drawer

heavy duty ziplock bags and the garage deep freezer.

Goatse?

I tie the cables with a hair tie like how they were stored in the original packaging and unwrap it when I play. I have controllers I keep at the ready and do a circle puddle below them and ones I use on occasion go in a cube organizer bin.

I hang them from the ceiling

I used to wrap them around the controller, but now I just loop them and use either the velcro/button-snap bands that come with the USB cables I buy. I have a bunch of Anker and Belkin ones.

I only have 2 (two) controllers. The one I use every day is on top of my desk, the other one is older and kept as a backup, and is inside a drawer.

How do you get to [current age] and only have 2 controllers? Did you just start gaming yesterday?

Not him, but if you were to minmax, a modern PS/Xbox layout controller of various makes can pretty much cover all your bases if you emulate, with a few caveats.

More like brokemax

I use a dualsense for PC and that thing would be awful for retro games. How the hell do you play 2d games with that awful dpad?

I mean, even if you got the money to burn, it'd still be better to burn it on something else you need more. A Playstation controller can substitute for pretty much anything pre-N64, barring weird shit with numpads. I use PS3, Saturn, N64, and Gamecube controllers with adapters, along with an arcade stick. I could probably use a PS controller for most things with some creative button mapping, which wouldn't be ideal, but it'd work.

I never implied I was the one minmaxing. Just that you don't necessarily need a box full of controllers to play shit. I have a bunch of gear, and I'm at an age where I'm thinking it'd be better off with someone else who can appreciate it more than one day dying like some sorta of gaming pharaoh surrounded by shit I don't really need.

where my over-under chads at

I put them in ziplock bags and into a drawer
