is it safe to leave the ps2 standing vertically when you have the hdd on the gamestar adapter?

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. I'm a fan of bracing the PS2 HDD however. They make 3d printed brackets to secure it otherwise it just sort of sits on the connector inside.

use a metal bracket just in case, hdd's don't like shock period especially if you're using little clitty 2.5" ones.

do NOT get those gay little 3d printed ones, those are usually low quality + make the fit into the adapter port really unreliable. a fucking hard drive bracket shouldn't have degrees of flex on it.

thanks for the input, i was more worried about the weight of the 3.5" hdd bending the adapter's connector and fucking it up.

while you're at it, swap out the gaystar and get an actual OEM network adapter with the abittop conversion board. that's as reliable and risk-free as you can get.
far as i know the gamestars still aren't even compatible with the ps2bb.
