Would’ve been great to find out. Unfortunately it’s not profitable to make a third game and finish the story so we’ll likely never know so just go w your own headcanon. Fuck Gabe for never finishing this that fat fuck.

Even if they had the exact same dev team (they wouldn't), their minds are so far removed from 25-30 years ago it wouldn't be the same anyway. They probably had no idea who he was, and he seemed like he was leading up to be the main villain. They'd asspull something and just run with it. It's been too long for it to work out the way us "real gamerz" want it to.
