I loved Death and Return of Superman as a kid because it was a direct and accurate video game adaptation of a comic storyline that I had read, which is a pretty rare thing. Most superhero games were either tie-ins to movies or cartoons, or were just a more generic use of the character.
But I suppose gameplay wise it was kind of a repetitive beat em up.
