Is playing on Unreal difficulty a waste of time and energy? I completed the main campaign, but Return To Na Pali is pissing me off at the tarydium plant. I get that single encounters can be more fun, but the bullet sponge meme is real. A fucking spider needing multiple rockets is hilariously stupid when you think about it. And I just started ignoring some enemies like Titans, they're a total waste of scarce ammo. Meanwhile the human marines at Prometheus will waste you in seconds unless you are playing on half speed.I'm thinking of restarting on Medium or Hard now that I finally got the OldUnreal installer and some mutators, I was playing on a 227i patched GOG install before at a locked framerate.
>>12492838Yes.
>>12492838Even in the easiest setting the final battle is a chore, so yeah, give it another chance at lower difficulty. You don't unlock anything, anyways.
>>12492848I decided to resume my campaign in the OldUnreal installer version, wow what a difference with the balance mutators and classic balance setting on Unreal difficulty. Actually having a locked 240 FPS helps a ton too.
>>12492838So the story is the main game was getting too bloated during development so they decided to cut all the less fun levels, and a lot of them ended up in the Na Pali expansion pack lol, you're literally playing leftovers
>>12493014>you're literally playing leftoversIt did not go unnoticed by me that I recognized a bunch of music being identical to the S3M files in my Unreal soundtrack beta folder.
>>12492893Lol, I don't know what I was expecting. Ran away from the warlord, no idea why I thought there was gonna be a space showdown at the end. Rather an anticlimax!
>>12492838>Is playing on Unreal difficulty a waste of time and energy? It's the most tolerable. All the higher difficulties are where it gets horribly miserable.RTNP Ultimate is also great, just ignore the HD skin recommendations.
>>12492979Have fun anon!
>>12492838>waste of energyHow much energy do you think you're burning while gayman?
