Game Gear. You'll have the entire trilogy (plus a spin-off) at your disposal, with the simplified, gamepad-friendly controls. Dungeon crawlers were meant to be played with a controller.

Play the PC Engine CD port of Madou 1.
Madou 1-2-3 for pc98 are also fully translated, AFAIK ARS is on the way.
