Is Duke Nukem 3 the first game to look like real life?Doom 2 looked like shit when it was supposed to represent Earth
>>12496119Yeah Duke Nukem had the better graphics, I'm someone who loves both game franchises but Duke came out as one of the better Doom clones for its time.
ENTER
>>12496119Wolfenstein 3D had brick walls, Hitler portraits, and dog food that you could eat
>>12496137tranny game though
>>12496141How? It’s pretty god damn high test
>>12496150I don't discriminate, I like to kill everyone
>>12496152fair enough then
>>12496149Trannies are into petplay (eating dog food).
>>12496137"These graphics sure are realistic. It feels like I'm inside the game."
>>12496167I see you've never been to germany
>>1249611990s adventure games have it beat.
>>12496158You would know.
>>12496119Duke Nukem invented real life.
>>12496137Sounds like my buddy Mike's place after he dropped out of high school and got his 1st apartment but it was just like a weirdly sectioned off 2nd floor of some old industrial building or warehouse. You had to take freight elevator up and all the "rooms" were just 8 foot unpainted drywall walls with no ceilings so you could see 30 feet up into the rafters. He was on the outside wall which they left exposed brick. You could hear all his neighbors eating, farting, watching TV, watching porn on TV and jerking off.
>>12496243It's always a Mike
Half-Life 2 was the first game to truly look and feel like real life. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first played it.
>>12496150National Socialism is still socialism thougheverbeit.
Duke Nukem is the most realistic game of all time.
>>12496296i know
>>12496296And that's bad because why?
>>12496167
>incel shartzi got bannedhas /vr/ finally gotten another competent janny?
>>12496119Why did you post a screenshot from the non-/vr/ expansion pack that was made over 20 years after the fact?
>>12496312Whoa there buddy, this is /vr/ not /x/. Put a spoiler warning on scary shit like that
>>12496357oh get off your high horse
>>12496312i've been here
>>12496312>wood panelingsovl...
>>12496127This game is just insane for 1995. The texture resolution is too low unfortunately though, Duke has higher resolution textures (but probably runs worse too).
>>12496385>"is that an empty room?! I'm losing my mind!"Do liminalfags really?
>>12496312I feel like I’ve seen this interior decor in every church I’ve ever been to.
Lethal Tender (1993) and TekWar (1995) come to mind.
>>12496690and every veteran's lodge
>>12496312unironically comfy image desu
>>12496119I've mentioned this on here before, but when I first played Duke 3D as a kid, the maps felt close enough to real life that I'd be walking around in buildings in actual real life and find myself thinking "wow, this place would make a cool Duke Nukem level!" Even now I'd say that the Build engine allows for sufficient realism while still requiring just enough abstraction as to make its environments feel analogous to real places, but also more appealing than if they were truly realistic.
>>12496312I can smell these images, it's a great smell btw
>>12496119>Doom 2 looked like shitBlow it out your ass.
>>12496167You sure put the "BJ" in "BJ Blazcowicz" anon.
Operation Body Count maybe, and definitely Tek Wars
>>12496723I agree with TekWar looking realistic at the time. I remember playing a demo and walking around the city at the start going "whoaa it's like real life"
>>12496296not video games
