The levels and bosses themselves aren't all that complex, but only 3 HP, 3 credits, and sparse extra lives means full run without running out of continues is definitely pretty tricky. I feel like those who say it's easy just spammed rewind and save states on an emulator. I personally had a harder time with it than Contra and Castlevania.
>>12497035Contra and Castlevania are easy too, are you saying you struggled with them lol
>>12497035this is one of the very first games I beat as a child, and I don't consider myself a particularly skilled player
never thought it was a hard game, saying castlevania is harder seems insane to me.
>>12497263meant saying castlevania is easier is insane
>>12497127No, I'm saying they are considered hard games but aren't really
>>12497035I don't know. It's not especially hard though, I can't remember how long it took to beat but I don't remember taking long with it. You have to be careful in places but like you said the levels and bosses aren't that complicated so as long as you're paying attention you'll get through it pretty easily eventually.
>>12497127Castlevania 1 is tougher than Chip and Dale. Especially if you wanted to do it with no continues. Contra is the one that gets exaggerated. Mostly because the one hit deaths scared people I think, and because it's very easy to get a game over quickly getting killed repeatedly. But the game is so short that it's not hard to memorize what to do in each section, and once you've memorized it it's easy to beat.
>>12497035I made it pretty far into the game but didn't beat it. It's harder than it looks and definitely harder than the Mexican Runner's 15 minute completion time appears.
>>12497035>3 creditsBad news if it's not 1CC you didn't beat it.
>>12497130This. This gotta be an elaborate bait. There is ONE boss in the game that can be considered decently challenging and you can get that one by hurrying and clenching your asshole
