Gonna say it. Dark Cloud is a must play.
>>12497789Is it worth playing if you've already played dark cloud 2?
>>12497804Yes. Dark Cloud 2 is very different.
>>12497809I really enjoyed Dark Cloud 2, very comfy game. And I think aesthetically it just blows 1 out of the water. My only grievances were that it had way too low of a polyn cap so you're very limited in how elaborate your georamas could be. I would have built huge and elaborate towns if they'd let me. Also, having to completely clear a level just to play shpeda got very tiresome, especially given how much randomness there was to levels like the sewers where every fucking border was a pit the ball could drop into. And I guess the monster transformations were both pointless and unconscionably grindy. And so many photos being missable was kind of bullshit. It really is a very good game but it's made for casual playthroughs. If you're a completionist it's kind of brutal
Fuck no, kill everyone who shilled this boring as game
I like it better than 2
>>12497789Loved it. The music is top tier, which is needed for the grinding parts. My only issue is how much they just straight ripped off OoT, but didn’t do it as well. The original parts that don’t wholesale rip off a game last gen and do it worse are pretty great tho. Beaten it about 3 times since release, made it through the whole game about a year ago but got bored of the 100 level dungeon. I still need to go back and finish that.
>>12498221you can't build a city in oot
>>12498561Anything with a sword is ripping off oot
>>124977896/10 game
>>12498561Nintendo created action rpgs you fucking nonce
>>12497804Dark Cloud 2 is basically a soft reboot. It's almost the same game a second time but most systems are improved, like combat. The only downgrade is the town building. I also prefer Dark Cloud 1 had more of a 90's anime vibe>>12498221I never understand the Zelda comparison except Toan(?) kind of looks like Link with the green cap and bangs
Great game, I rate it alongside OOT 9/10 though I also don't see the Zelda connection. It was the 2nd game (after gran turismo 3) I played on PS2.A lot of it is planning resources for each floor and upgrading weapons. It excels at that. It's not really a story game and that's probably fine. It's a grind, but a fun grind.
>>12497789I tried to play Dark cloud 2 a few times and always quit because im overwhelmed by all of the fucking mechanics. I appeals to me in every way but I always just quit playing after a while. Should I try to play Dark Cloud 1 first so then 2 doesn't seem so daunting?
