For my collection i'm downloading standalone arcade roms. For what purpose everyone usually download entire romset with crazy shit and clones you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole? Is it autism? I get it they don't take much space, but it's still annoying to navigate through thousand of worthless garbage
>>12498269A full romset is like 50GB, my PC has like 12TB>annoying to navigate through thousand of worthless garbageYou don't need to navigate anything, you can just type the name of the game you want to play
>DawnNot retro. Horrible thread.
>>12498295>you can just type the name of the game you want to playEh, i'm way too lazy to even type, i prefer scrolling, maybe i'm just a disgusting zoomer>>12498298My bad, here vibri

>>12498308You can make custom lists with your favorites anyway
>>12498313Doesn't have some niche stuff i liked>>12498321Yes, but that's pretty much the same as downloading only what i want, i guess in the end is up to tastes
>>12498295This. More options is always good. Maybe I'll never touch half the games there, but being able to play them any time if the interest is there without having to go look if it's still available online is nice. It's not like the hard drive space they use is in short supply.
MAME requires specific sets for specific versions, and sometimes the file names aren’t intuitive. So for instance I download MAME 2.8 and the 2.8 romset and then I’m just good.
>>12498269Cute
>>12498269Like this guy said >>12498530 it's so everything just works instead of trying to figure out what version of MAME you needGod I hate arcade emulation
