I’ll say this: both games are good, and god knows I replayed them both too many times, but goldeneye is just a more polished experience. Also, multiplayer in goldeneye was a phenomenon. The game came out in 1997 and was still a mainstay at parties or hangouts for us well into the mid-2000s along with smash bros, halo, Mario kart. Very few games achieve that status. I can’t ever remember playing TWINE mp as a go-to with friends, even though it was absolutely fine and fun.
