Is BoF4 kino?
>>
Reminder that Ryu III showed his dick to THREE men and ZERO girls
>>
>>12501434
the camera in this game was atrocious
never play a RPG with worse camera other than Neverwinter Nights 2
>>
>>12501447
Mate, he gets found starkers in the third game, right? Couple of blokes spot him, have a bit of a yarn about it. What’re you even getting at?
>>
BoF4 is straight up kino, no two ways about it. Gorgeous art, bloody brilliant atmosphere. I rate it heaps. But end of the day, BoF3's still my favourite. Nothing tops growing up with Ryu, Rei, and the crew, that whole journey just hits different. BoF4's a ripper, easily my second favourite. But BoF3's the one that's got my heart.

>oi, bruv, you got a loisence for dat pecker?
>>

I wonder how many times Nina thought about Ryu's dick

probably thought of it when this happened

No it's fucking garbage. Garbage full of brown mud, sand and dragons that look like snot skeletons. All the colors are washed out, the text and graphics are faded as fuck and everyone's design is plain. Play a real Breath of Fire with gorgeous European style art instead of this Mongolian desert ass trash. Like 1 - 3.
>>
>>12501559
the first breath of fire is a broken piece of crap. 4 is one of the best rpgs of all time. 2 and 3 are excellent
>>
>>12501434
>mindbogginly slow, easy, jrpg with too much dialogue, cutscenes and dead air, awful camera
Kino as in "movie" sure it is a sort of "movie" experience.

Kino, as in "based art" No.
only action games, puzzle games, racers and games with good gameplay density and challenge are kino in the second sense
>>
>>12501456
Have you played BoF III?
>>
>>12501574
>4 is one of the best rpgs of all time
>one of the best rpgs is a turn-based rpg
what?
please explain why you believe this is the case?
>>
>>12501628
go to hell, numbskull
>>
4 is the best BoF of the first 4.
I like 5 the best, but it doesn't feel like a BoF.
>>
>>12501987
>but it doesn't feel like a BoF.
and neither is 4

>doesn't even blush

I don't know, but I can tell you who got FROGGED
>>
>>12501574
2 is dogshit though. 1 is not that good either. 3 is great
Haven't played 4 yet
>>
unlikely
>>
>>12501434
I played a bit of 3 and 4 recently and 4 captivated me the most. I like the quiet atmosphere and how refined the art is. A lot of people say 3 is the best one but I think I will finish 4 first.
>>
>>12505406
methinks Capcom were always at odds on what every Nina iterations were supposed to be for every sequels; I mean for fucks sake just take some look at grown-up Nina III's artwork and her in-game sprites.
>>
>>12507127
The problem is the character artist changed style in the middle of BoF 3's development. Grown-up Nina's sprite match the earlier design with the pink dress and tights. Then during the ending, there's a cutscene with larger sprites of the cast and this time Nina has the new design.

Grandia 1's camera is even worse in some segments of the game. It's a shame because the game is so pretty but things are obscured like 30% of the time.
>>
Everyone always gives BoF1 grief about being a bad game, but I don't think it's really the case. Out of the entire series, it's the one I've replayed the most for the reason most people won't really touch it twice--it's a very basic, straightforward adventure with very little plot twists and turns paired with a simplistic battle system that doesn't afford the player much room for creativity. To me, that's one of the game's strengths though, that the player is mostly kept on rails with limited side quests or critical items to miss. It's a game you can just power through with brute force and not have to worry about small details like grabbing every treasure chest in each dungeon, completing side quests before hitting points of no return, impressing 100 nobles in a stage duel, or stealing an item from a boss before you kill him.

I feel like somewhere along the way in the JRPG world, games lost focus trying to find new gimmicks and the simple challenge of trying to work with a given toolset to make it through a dungeon and kill a boss was pushed further and further to the side. People don't just play a JRPG anymore blindly to enjoy the story with some gameplay along the way, there's a big push to consult an FAQ to avoid missing any item and not lock yourself out of a good ending.

Id seen the sprite work here for years before playing the game and was excited to play it. I found it boring despite wanting to like it.
>>

>that quick second glance
She liked it.

I fucking hate the camera
