It's honestly kinda disappointing that American kusoge died with the Atari 2600. Imagine if the NES had some real E.T. tier gems made by single artists doing something weird and new.

some nes homebrew pretty much is exactly that

Stop. Just stop. You are not Japanese. You will never be Japanese. Wiggers are a thousand times more honorable and worthy of respect than weebs.
>>
Say what? Almost all American NES games are kusoge. Sculptured Software ring a bell?

do you live on Planet Retard?

you're taking the term too literally. kusoge isn't just a shitty game, it's a game that is shitty but in a charming way. ET atari is a perfect example. you're going actually going to have fun with the gameplay, but it's so fucking audacious that you're amused by the ways in which it is bad.

What the fuck is happening to this board?

Stop writing like an unbearable faggot.
Also I remember some project from early 10s that tried to patch E.T. and general cnsensus from that experiment was that it was pretty close to being pretty decent game with few very minor adjustments. It was not completely shitty game as clueless zoomers want it to be but just a very ambitious for its time project dragged down literally into the ground by few minor but noticeable flaws.
In a world where devs would have to playtest it and adjust all the flawed parts, this would be probably the first big game based on a movie.

Did you stop playing video games after the 2600 or something? They still make kusoge today.
>>
>>12504202
You're not fucking japanese so keep our words out of your mouth.

you are a fat white retard
lol

Howard Warshaw was trying to attempt a game that was obviously too ambitious for the hardware, and he also had a pathetically short development schedule.

>Atari developers who moved to the NES
Ever play "A Boy and his Blob"?

There's also Gray Matter (aka Chris Gray Enterprises Inc.), but some of his games were decent.

>goes to Universal Studios and pitches his proposal for an ET video game
>Steven Spielberg was like "tf man? can't we just do something like Pac-Man instead?"
when even a literal boomer like Spielberg who knew nothing about vidya thought this was a bad idea, it tells you something
>>
>>12504202
ET isn't shitty though, a lot people just couldn't figure out how to play it. Plenty of atari games people actually like that aren't as good.
>>
>>12508325
No, no. This is just zoomer revisionism. E.T. was literally the worst game ever made in the history of the hobby, and was so monumentally terrible that it single-handedly destroyed the entire video game industry. This is why we've all been playing board games since 1983.

It's a shame, really. I would liked to have seen what might have been. Could you imagine what a video game made today would look like?
>>
>>12503915
SPBP, you're both a cringe ass weeb and using vocabulary from a vidya site that's literally just Resetera but different name and less anti japan messaging.
>>
>>12503915
>wigger
>weeb
it's kind of funny to me that "wapanese" completely disappeared (in its place "weeb") despite it being etymologically close to "wigger".
>>
>>12508820
Weeb just sounds better and rolls off the tongue, wapanese sounds like baby talk.
Could just call them wooks.
>>
>>12508820
>wapanese
Man that takes me back. I remember watching a terrible quality 2000s youtube video titled 'Wapanese' where this dude played a caricature of a weeb and it ended with him pretending to bang a Pikachu plushie. I laughed my 12 year old ass off. It was FILLED with countless seething hate comments which made it all the funnier.

I would say trolling died in 2010 or even before. Everyone's fucking grandmother is aware and immune to it now.
>>
>>12508836
Still happens, it just morphed into political shitflinging and now people get AI to make shitty images to do it for them.
