Why were old game magazines so wrong all the time
>>

Boomers wrote it

They were playing the dogshit American version of RE that removed autoaim, so they didn't know they were playing a broken version of the game.

Bro the reply you cropped this from explained why this review was innacurate to the final game. You couldn't even wait till that thread ended to churn out this click bait.

Harder is better I’m afraid

A lot of times it was because they had to be written 3-5 months in advance due to how long it takes to edit, prepare, print, and distribute physical magazines to store shelves.

This meant that they were generally doing previews, articles, and even full reviews on games that were months away from being finished. If anything changed late in development it obviously would not be reflected in the magazine.

They were glorified ads written by non-gamer boomers, freely fantasized from watching a VHS tape trailer.

Wait the Japanese version has autoaim? I didn't know this. That's literally what it needed to be good. Localizers were retarded

Director’s Cut adds it back to the international versions
And inb4 someone mentions the meme OST, that’s in the Dualshock version, not the regular DC
