Sad that this game came out while there were plenty of other better kart racers that most people would play over this, because It’s actually not a bad game. It was kind of ahead of its time with the progressive power up system and customization with your character/kart. I grew up with the N64 version which is slightly worse than the PS1 by a hair, but I still remember having a great time with this one. Just played it with some buddies recently and it’s still super fun for a quick circuit.

>>12507749PC port is objectively the best version of this game. It runs and looks best on PC. All of the cut scenes look great and the customization figures and bricks look very good. Just hard to get it running nowadays if you have a physical copy of it
Lego Racers is awesome but not having multiplayer held it back something fierce. You couldn't invite your friends over to play Lego Racers like you could with basically any other big kart racer.

I vividly remember walking downstairs one morning, I saw he had a big smirk on his face, and he told me he got first place on the last cup. Good times, but I haven’t felt any desire to play it again.
