I recently picked this up out of curiosity of the mainline Spyro games I missed out on growing up. EtD is pretty mid so far, with really tanky controls and large empty spaces. Is A Hero's Tail worth getting once I finish?
Nah, it's more of the same.Really, all there is has been done in the first three game of the series. Much like crash, spyro didn't fly so good in sixth gen. Also, careful with that franchise - it's a furry gateway.
AHT is miles better than ETD. It's more of a linear adventure game than a traditional collectathon. I'd at least try it out.
I tried to like Hero's Tail but the PS2 version swapped the charge and flame buttons for no reason and it made the game unplayable.
>>12507707I've always thought that Crash had better luck than Spyro in the sixth generation. I mean, they both got pretty mediocre games, but Crash games were more acceptable.
ahhhh
Monkey Monastery is basically the only level that's actually good enough to pass for an original trilogy level. Rest of the game sucks, everything else is just one big loop back to the start of the level with no platforming, except for the Thief's den which is just one obnoxiously gigantic loop back to the start of the level with no checkpoints.
>>12507942I think everyone thinks this. Wrath of Cortex isn’t really good but it shits on EtD as far as fourth games go
>>12507686>Is A Hero's Tail worth getting once I finish? It's different but I personally enjoyed it
>>12508209WoC and EtD are both horrendous, the only thing WoC has going for it is being an actually finished game (and that just means there's more of its shitty gameplay to play anyway)
>severely rushed Gee whizAtleast the atmosphere and soundtrack is great
>>12508209They were both bad, but not bad-bad. Still "acceptable"It's a game, it works as a game i suppose. But going from warped to WoC is surely bittersweet Same with Spyro 3 -> EtD
