What are your thoughts about the Sly trilogy, anons? Which one is your favorite?
1 is great on its own but I can't pretend I don't like the style of the other two as wellThe problem with 2 is that it drags itself out, I don't mind the mini games of 3
Even at the time I never thought 1 was anything but a decent game, but I rented 2 anyway due to a trailer or some review on TV. Great game, same with 3.2>3>>>1
>>12507878furryshit that never should have been made
>>12507878Thought 1 was outdated, 2 was amazing and 3 was a step down.
>Sly Cooper>and the Thievius Racoonuswait, isn't Sly also the Thievius Racconus? what the fuck
>>12507878I only like the first one, because it feels like a good sequel Crash Bandicoot (3) Warped.2 and 3 force you to play full missions with the turtle and the hippo, which are way more boring than Sly.In the first one those two were only for mini-games.In 2, it became proto-Assassin's Creed. And going from varied linear levels, to a single bigger map in which you do missions in feels way worse.Instead of seeing something relatively different each time, you see the same stage for a long time, you get sick of it.
My first job out of high school I worked at a grocery store and there was this really nerdy autistic girl that worked there who wouldn't shut up about Sly Cooper. Anyway anytime I think of Sly Cooper I think of her and how I could've saved her
>>12507878Fucking kino trilogy. 2 is the best overall for the heists, but 3 has a lot of dimes moments.
>>12508160The games doing something new each time is kind of a double-edged sword because if you liked the preceding game you probably didn't want them to change anything. But I thought 2 was a step up from 1 precisely because it added more mission variety. Then 3 got a little carried away and had too much going on for my taste.
incredibly mediocre games played through the first one and thought it was just alright2 was tedious as shit, dropped it halfway through and never picked up againfrom what I've heard 3 is even worse so I never bothered with it

>>12507878>What are your thoughts about the Sly trilogyI played it on Vita so my experience might differ from yours.Sly Cooper as a series was at its best when it was just a platformer with Sly - sadly, this covers only like 20-25% of the trilogy. I enjoyed mini-games and alternative characters way, way less. I think the ability system in all three games (the ones you found in 1 or bought in 2 and 3) was meh and I barely bothered to use non-plot relevant ones.1 started fine but each following chapter had less platforming levels and more minigames, with the last chapter being mini-game galore for most of its time.2 is fine by itself for the whole heist approach, but it's not a 3D platformer like 1 and closer to GTA with parkour.3 is like 2 but with even less Sly content (at least it felt like that to me). I also think it had more efficient but less fun "coin farming".
it's one of those "you had to play it when you were 10" kind of gamescombat, stealth, platforming etc are all braindead as fuck
