I don't want to seem like I'm bashing the system. I was just hoping for some advice on how to best approach it or its library since it hasn't clicked with me yet. My apologies if I'm offending anyone here.TL;DR: Sega Saturn hasn't been the show stopping system I was hoping it would be for me so far with Nights into Dreams and Panzer Dragoon Zwei. What are some recommendations you have for games to help the library feel special or just more complete?I know this might be a pretty unpopular take on a Sega Saturn board, but I was hoping to get some guidance from the biggest fans of the console. Over the years, I kept seeing the Sega Saturn get named as a must-own system. I finally caved earlier this year and bought one along with Nights into Dreams and Panzer Dragoon II, and . . . yeah, I just haven't been feeling that Segata Sanshiro power. As for the two games, Nights into Dreams reminds me of a less-intuitive Sonic. I'm okay with strange and quirky games--Mischief Makers on the N64 is a blast, and I find Umihara Kawase for Super Famicom unique and fun. As for Panzer Dragoon II, it's actually pretty cool looking and decently fun, but I don't feel particularly connected to the story in the way that Star Fox 64 got me wrapped up into its character dynamics. I think my expectations were just too high on this one, and that's not its fault. It's still fun.Also, I think the other frame of mind challenge is that the Saturn is so hyped up in retro circles. Maybe I was expecting that unique Dreamcast-like charm or that the exclusives would easily stand up next to Sony and Nintendo's best offerings?Anyway, I was hoping to get some recommendations on games that helped you get into the system, hopefully a mix of affordable and more expensive titles. On a quick side note, I picked up a Japanese copy of Panzer Dragoon 1.Anyway, I appreciate the advice!P.S. I have no intention of selling or giving away the system.

I stopped liking all japanese video games, I think I was somehow pretending to like Sega and Nintendo games.Nowadays I only appreciate western PS1 games and ZXSpectrum/Amiga games only

If that's something you enjoy or not is up to you.I take it based on you comments that you're more into 'console' style games/story games etc. Some exclusives to the console to check out;I'd suggest Shining Force III trilogy first and foremost which are excellent Tactical RPGs and some of my favourite games.Burning Rangers is a fun exclusive that is a platforming/action game with lots of replayability.Deep Fear is a decent Resident Evil knock off that's not quite as good, but has some cool ideas that were ahead of its time. Exhumed/Powerslave/1999 - it's been remastered on PC and had a PC and PS1 version, but the Saturn game is unique and generally considered the best of the era. First person shooter with lots of exploration.Guardian Heroes - I think this has an Xbox 360 port, but you may as well play on Saturn. Beat em Up/RPG hybrid that's really fun and has a huge amount of different story paths/endings to unlock and characters to play.
