this game sucks
>>12513108can you expound upon that a bit, anon
>>12513108Well it has "ass" in its name...
it really feels dumbed down from star fox 64the arwing moves at a snails pace it's a game for babies
This board is unusable. How the fuck is /v/ better than the retro gaming board?
>>12513662make threads you like instead of complaining on a slow board fagfacebutt
The same story as all the other games that arent Star Fox 64 at least Star Fox Adventures isnt a Star Fox game it was a Rare game but with a Star Fox skin
The multiplayer seemed cool . Couldn't get anyone to play with me though
>>12513108Game is mediocre at best and abysmal at worst. Multiplayer is playable but definitely the weakest multiplayer shooter title I've ever played. Campaign sucked.
>>12513108Was this a Rare game?
>>12515701Bamco. They've made a lot of Nintendo's action titles in recent gens. It's funny how often JP publishers get all the credit for the works of other studios. Nintendo in particular tends to obfuscate that information.
>>12515701Nah was pretty common here in Canada on launch. Bit more rare nowadays but still easy enough to get hold of
>>12515776He was mistaking it for adventures which was a rare game.
>>12515769>BamcoNamco actually. Bandai Namco was on the verge of merging with Namco when assault was released so those times probably had an effect on development. Namco in the 2000s was not in an enviable state and working on assault probably didn't bear them much relief.
>>12515784huh, you're rightthanks for the correction
>>12513108I never liked how the Arwings looked in Assault
>>12515927Same. For me they looked too pointy, new and clean for a bunch of mercenaries. I guess that’s what they were going for thinking that after the reward money from saving Dinosaur Planet naturally they would upgrade their stuff
>>12515927>>12516115The arwing also controls like ass.
everything controls kind of floaty but if you just mash the buttons and flail around you will get s rank on every mission.
>>12516836Is that a hallmark of a good game?
>>12516867According to Devil May Cry fans, yeah.
>>12515578>>12515658The multiplayer would've been a lot better with bots and some smaller maps to choose from. They made the multiplayer maps fuckhueg as if they were making a Star Wars Battlefront game.
>>12513108It's not as good as 64, but I kinda liked the on-foot combat. The one thing it did better than 64 is that it actually let you save between missions instead of having to marathon a whole run in one go like an NES game.
>>12516961The gameplay is fundamentally flawed. Weapons, character movements, maps, physics, they all don't mesh together well to make for a multiplayer experience on par with other shooters. Combat comes down to either rolling side by side while trading blows or running away indefinitely. Vehicles especially do not feel good to play since they either feel OP or a sitting duck with no obvious balance in gameplay.
>>12515781Oh right of course! Rare as in RareWare. Sorry.
