Wrestling games come to mind but all of those are licensed by and other than a few most are part of a true series, there were way more bad WWF games than good ones. If licensing counts I didn't play 5th gen or earlier Transformers game that was good. Super Man games sucked, pretty much any super hero that wasn't Spider Man or Batman got consistently bad games, not to say they didn't have their fair share of bad games too. All the Bubsy games are bad with 3D being the most notorious. Mega Man had a binchnif you count all the different series. A lotnof people hated legends, not everyone likes battle net, 5 out of 8 of the X games are divisive, a lot of people don't like 7 and 8 from the original series, nobody likes the dos games, some of the game boy games aren't great, nobody seems to remember the xtreme games but those are tedious, power fighters is ok but it's a real basic fighting game that isn't much fun, some fans of the original and x series don't like how different zero is and a lot of people that like zero don't like the sequels. I don't know, not a lod of truly bad games but a lot of games even the hardcore fans don't want to play.

The original trilogy is great, then there's Special Forces and Mythologies: Sub Zero alongside 4, then Shaolin Monks and Deception brought the games back for consoles at the time. Right now, with MK 1's release, I think the games are back to being in a spot of 'meh' games, and I fucking love MK

There's also the Chaos Emerald mechanic that makes you have to be pretty precise on actually picking up rings. On top of a soundtrack that sounds fine, but really doesn't fit with a Sonic game.

The draw distance was a major issue that made splitscreen unplayable sadly.IIRC the game was done in something like half a year, so considering that it was pretty impressive. Certainly did have great lightning on it, and no other Saturn game did fogging like it. And the music was great too.

Define "good."By western standards, I'm sure there's plenty of Japan-only franchises with games that are borderline impenetrable for the majority of the non-Japanese audience, like pachinko, mahjong, or horseracing, like the average American would probably have more fun trying to play Kid Kool than they would playing any one Derby Stallion game, even if said Derby Stallion game were better made and a better horseracing game than KK is a platformer game.
