Huh? What am i missing here? Yoshi's Island definetly tells you if you 100% the level or not, and you can see what you miss too.

>>12517579I don't even care about whatever opinion you have about this game. I just scrolled through the catalog, saw your text, and decided pic related describes you, and you should do better. Stop treating /vr/ like some dumping ground for whatever dumb shit passes for thought in your brain.

>>12517802GBA version is the same game but you can play as Luigi with Luigi physics and there's a page that tracks all exits and collectibles for each character. Also the viewable area on-screen is a lot smaller and the palette is washed out since it was changed to suit the GBA screen. There's a ROM hack to fix the colors but the smaller viewable area makes it the worse version even with the extras. Shame that. It's still worth playing but I'd suggest starting with the SNES one.
>>12517813Oh he meant Yoshi's island. kek I'm retarded.
>>12517594More proof that remakeslop is always garbage.
>>12517802No remakeslop is ever better, get that through your head.
Yoshi's Island went overboard with the collectables. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't force you to get flowers, red coins and stars all on the same go, not keeping track of what you already collected unless you got everything.
>>12517915Yeah, demanding a perfect run of the player for all levels, which has a strict execution level, was what tired me out playing Yoshi's Island. If you play the game casually, it's a fun activity set and fun stuff happens, but there's not much of a challenge. If you 100% a level, it's just an exercise in frustration if you miss a red coin, take a hit and go below 30 stars, go through a point of no return, etc.Red coin hunting isn't fun, mixing them in with regular coins with a barely perceptible visual clue (that was removed in the GBA version and all later Yoshi games). If your play style is to try and 100% a level before moving onto the next, you risk burning yourself out and not enjoying the game.
I'm convinced. I stopped liking Yoshi's Island.
Nintendo invented collectathons to subtly influence its user base into collecting Nintendo crap themselves.
