>want to deep diveOk. Why? Did you not like games before but are going to give it a good college try this time? Were you just not interested before? Why now? Why retro? Those are questions you should be asking yourself first of all. Anyway the first step should be finding games in a genre you already like (sports, racing, fighting, puzzle etc) and go for those. If you start playing wild anonymous recommendations you're bound to be hit by a game someone really likes but is definitely not for everyone like the Nobunaga Series or those SNES pirate games jew YouTubers seem to like so much. Those are good games but require very specific mental spaces, so if you want to enjoy yourself as soon as possible stick to what you know and expand from there.
