Agreed. Just like Mario All-Stars it's way more soulless. The N64 version is my favorite with all the Wario Land 3 characters. I also never really liked the GB version because you get 1 less row so it makes level 20 way harder.

I have a question regarding the Gamecube version on Nintendo Puzzle Collection. From what I've been told it's just the N64 version of Dr. Mario.
But you can also download a version of Dr. Mario for the GBA through the GBA GCN link cable. Some sources say that's the NES version of the game. Is that true or is it a new port altogether that you're transferring?
