Low-key better than the PS1 version
>>12527115fr? that's diabolical ngl :skull:
>>12527115How?
>>12527115Big agree. Source: I never played the PS1 version.
>>12527115I've tried both and don't understand the appeal. I also never found the Fushigi no Dungeon games fun so maybe this genre just isn't for me.
>>12527526The appeal is the cute girls, because the gameplay sucks ass compared to other dungeon crawlers.
"Low-key" adds nothing to your sentence.
>>12527115Agreed, but I still prefer this one.
>>12527512OP here. I never played either.
>>12527575Yes It does, it implies that its "secretly" a better game than the more popular ps1 title
>>12527573Tried the PS1 ver lately and did all the content that's only on the PS1. It's cute as heck and I loved all of the little romance subplots. Koh becomes a gigachad surrounded by girls who all love him, this confuses your mom and sister, pisses off fellow chad daddy Ghosh, and makes you the coolest dude in Monsbaiya. The PS1 version really requires you to have built gold weapons from a bajillion runs which you can lose outright if you have an accidental death. You need built up familiars with heal shit, but you've gotta be finding enough fruit to keep them alive, which sucks on later floors. I think I got in the 40s before I had the one suck run that ruined everything. You can immidiately reset on a death but you can't save your way up the tower.Meanwhile the GBC version is far easier, a little comfier aesthetically given horrid prerendered sprites on PS1, and has new music, new monsters (with a catch em all gimmick letting you store more), new NPCs, and a 100 floor dungeon after the first one that's challenging. It only lacks height in dungeons being a tactic (hitting shit from high ground hurts it more), and all of the waifu/town building. You've still got a really neat monster collecting roguelike that in actual gameplay has more to it.
