Why are the Americans Team Italy?
>>12527259Because it's led by Andy and he's based in Italy
>>12527276Well, okay, why was American ninja Andy Bogard from South Town, USA fighting people on a Venetian boat?
>>12527307He went on a training journey after FF1 and ended up in ItalyWell, the out of universe explaination is that SF2 popularized a globe-trotting style so they had to make international stages. SNK pulled back on that in FF after they had KoF to fill that niche, but at the time they needed it. Why Italy? I dunno, something something natto spagetti.
>>12527259I was so good at this game. Weird that it was the only fighting game that peaked my interest that much. Never digged deep into another fighting game ever again.
>>12527307Because that stage has a great theme
>>12527307The stage is cool so I'm glad they went with it but it did always confuse me as far as why Andy of all people would be there. Even ignoring the fact that Italy is neither his birthplace nor a place that fits where he'd likely be doing most of his training (Asia). He's supposed to be the overly serious guy who only cares about training (even his bio lists his favorite music as "silence" lol) but his stage is in a locale that is very laidback and fun and aesthetically rich. You'd think he would be in some empty dojo or maybe in the woods somewhere.
His real name is Andrea Bogardon, venetian aristocrat. Mai knows, that's why she wants to marry him.
>>12527307Mai is quite picky when it comes to dating
>>12527407Who ordered the Pasta Shimomura?!?https://youtu.be/oADIADHVabw
>>12527259Because it took a while for devs to figure out that not all fighting games have to be about "world warriors"
>>12527259I used to think Terry was Italian due to this and that Ralph was Brazilian lmao
