Honest thoughts on Miyamoto and his contributions to gaming?

>Shigeru Miyamoto’s background in industrial design
>He also was thinking of become a manga artist before joining Nintendo so that helped him in his career since he wound up doing artwork for Nintendo games as well
>He was in a bluegrass band in college
>Shigeru Miyamoto was hired as a staff artist by Hiroshi Yamauchi, then Nintendo president, in 1977. Before he came to sketch out the idea for the game that would become Donkey Kong
>Donkey Kong (1981)
>Super Mario Bros. (1985)
>The Legend of Zelda (1986)
>Miyamoto oversaw that first 30-60 minutes of gameplay, the prologue battle. Everything up through the first Deku Tree dungeon, like where you destroy the spiderweb and jump down
>Miyamoto invented multiple genres and ALL of his games are legendary
>Miyamoto personally oversaw DKC's development and gave input
>SNES controller
>GameCube controller
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebWTOPnrKsE
>The Gamecube's early first party titles were all about showing off. Water in Sunshine, Wind and open space in Wind Waker, the vacuum in Luigi's Mansion, massive numbers of rendered and acting entities in Pikmin
>Philosophy that Nintendo games are like toys designed to be played first and foremost, which makes for the most fun gameplay
>Big fan of Xevious and Tower of Druaga
>Loves Osamu Tezuka, of course, but also Fujio Akatsuka, Akaki Yamane, George Akiyama, Mitsuteru Yokoyama. Akira Toriyama's Arale-chan was one of the inspirations to Mario's movement and animation in Super Mario 64

Based Japanese genius that will always be considered the God of video game creators and also will eternally make midwits seethe, so he's double based.
The amount of fake Miyamoto quotes there are is funny as fuck. People really care about him, even for the things he never said.
