The OST is both the best and worst of the series. Oddly, it's Koshiro that made the worst tracks. Kawashima composed the kino.

I only played the US version but I managed to beat it (using Shiva for the last level)
It's got some really annoying stuff but at the same time it's a fun game with even more control options than 2.
2 is just better in level visuals, music and balance. If you want a challenge there's mania mode anyway.
I have yet to try Bare Knuckle III, I guess it's more balanced so better than SoR3, though I admit my autism and preference for Axel's yellow and black clothes made me oush through SoR3 instead of going for BK3

i read an interview where he said that he wrote a program to make randomized beats and just used the most interesting parts in his songs for this game. A unique idea for the time desu.
Personally I like that the soundtrack is so off the wall and weird. He could have composed the music like normal but there's still to this day nothing that sounds like those tracks.

The only thing 2 has over 3 is that it's more balanced really. People say BK3 doesn't have that problem but I've never played it. I still prefer SoR3 over 2 though. There's more attention to detail and more to it overall.
