Is that what my problem was? I tried it and wasn't able to win a battle and couldn't figure out why. Although I seem to recall having the issue where all my troops ran past the enemy.

They know they fucked up too since draws no longer remove both characters from the fight. It's a mess.

Especially since there's no timer, ranged units are now incredibly overpowered for beating them.
