What are some Japanese N64 games I can play as an english speaker? I have an NTSC N64 but being PAL where games are more expensive and run like shit, I think importing japanese games is a better option.Pic related, one of a few games I imported for my N64 already, preferably looking for non-text heavy games but I can deal with it if I have too.
>>12531862Sin & PunishmentBasically just the main menu I think. OH, the voiceless ending too, but it's minor.
>>12531862Just buy a SummerCart64
>>12531864I saw this one mentioned a few times so that's on the top of my bucket list, current games I own areMajoras Mask, Ocarina of Time, SM64 (Shindou), and pic related. The first 2 i've beaten a trillion times so I can deal with the language barrier.
>>12531868Can't exactly afford it, same with the everdrive 64. Japanese imports are far cheaper which is why I haven't opted for a flash drive.
>>12531873>Can't exactly afford it
>>12531883I must've been looking in the wrong place because I saw much more expensive ones.
>>12531884The design is open source so anyone can make one and it will be the sameDon't get scammed by westoids, buy it from chinks on aliexpress
Games made by Europeans run better in PAL than in NTSC.This is true for all Rare games.Yes, GoldenEye runs more smoothly in PAL than in NTSC.And it's even more noticeable when you play a PAL game on an NTSC console.
>>12531873you will save a ridiculous amount of money in the long term if you get a flashcart. how is this even a question of affordability? it's basic financial literacy.
>>125318621080 Snowboarding is the one dual-region game for the N64 where both the Japan and USA cart share the exact same guts, just a different label and cart back.Super Metroid on the SNES also does the same thing.
>>12532025Ocarina of Time is too, sort of. One byte controls the default language, so the Japanese and North American copies are apparently 99.99% identical, just with that one thing flipped. No, I have no idea why there wasn't an ingame language switch.
