>look up a video guide and try to copy that

sirens on, tried slowing to a crawl (5mph) to see if he'll pull over, but nope. stopping the car does nothing either. i'm wondering if this is a bug because i got the first message telling me to go there but not the second.

yes it was a bug. i just started a new game, and this time the second message telling me to go to Fig Street appears, and then he finally pulls over. very odd that it didn't appear at first.

i came across another bug, where for some reason he wouldn't move, so i reloaded and that fixed it.
buggy as game from 1991.

It's apparently way more buggy than the original EGA version. Which I played successfully in SCUMMVM at some point in the last few years and I can't remember it being any buggier than average for that era.

i had two more crashes, another frozen out screen where i couldn't make him move and another where after putting my gun in the locker outside the jail, the game showed me an in-game error message and then CTD
but its a nice game so far, i just have to save it regularly
