>one of those things nobody got to play IRL before emulation/Flash carts because all 92-94 Taito NES/FC games got just one 20,000 cart printing each (the absolute minimum order size Nintendo would give you)
>as for real carts of the two Flintstones games, Jetsons, Panic Restaurant, etc, you're not getting those unless you sell a kidney
A bit too bad as they're all quite good, well-put together games.

The Japanese MC sprite was way better, why did they change him to Chef Boyardee for the US?
>>
a lot of these late NES titles are too easy because the console was being downgraded to a budget system for young kids

Only one of the flintstones games is pricey. The first one was a 5 dollar game for a long ass time and now hovers around 30. Famicom version of PR also isn't that much more than that.

I enjoy the US version more. More interesting having an old dude mc. I would be fine with the jap version, but the us one apparently changes some level layouts which tickles my autism into wanting to track down a copy.

>Taito
Oh no no no no hahahahaha

These games were developed in Japan they're not the ones they outsourced to Software Creations.

The level alterations are listed here and were done to make it a little more challenging as the original game was extremely easy.

This era is a lot friendlier and more inviting than the days of circa 1986 hardcore brutal Famijank. Think of it as being a boomer who is old now and mellowed, he's no longer the pissed off edgy teenager he used to be.

Page 10? Not on my watch nigger

up until 1994, and even beyond, most people in Argentina enjoyed a big chunk of Famicom's catalogue through clones and videoclubs. Those late games were everywhere thank god.

Uruguay was the same but half Famicom clones and half official NES games. There were enough copies around in 2012 that the most expensive ones CIB were still $200 from today ($150 then)

This is the first I've heard of Taito doing low print runs, then again I guess 20k was more than enough for rental-tier games given the market size back in the 80s and early 90s. Still funny given how the NES Flintstones games have made their current popularity from meme culture rather than being a licensed tie in.

I find the Jap sprite to be very generic and boring. The US sprite is whimsical, cute, and soulful
