Tetris DS is still my go to Tetris. I don't know why anyone would still play the NES or GB versions unless they're aiming to compete.

Some versions have slightly different takes on it like smooth motion and scoring but they're all practically the same thing with different presentation. I used to play the GB version a lot and it doesn't really get any simpler than that.
