With the current state of emulators I dont think there is any reason to play on CRT anymoreApe Escape 3, Option Tuning Car Battle 2 etc. I get more happiness when I can enjoy these using wireless controller and anti aliasing than I'd get on CRT with wired controllers

The elements that make up the gaming experience beyond the game itself are very real (see: why going to the cinema is not the same as watching a film on your laptop) and for some these elements are very important. For others said elements don't mean anything for for that crowd emulators are perfectly fine.

I have an OLED display, a PC capable of running any emulated game at 10x resolution, with the most praised CRT-shaders, and, still, CRT is still on top.
